After the positioning groove of the mold parting surface is worn, the positioning accuracy of the mold closing decreases, resulting in product misalignment with an error of over 0.05mm. Daokedao uses a laser profilometer to scan the groove contour and accurately replicate the original size. After groove repair, the width tolerance is ± 0.01mm and the depth error is ≤ 0.005mm. Wear resistant alloy powder is selected, and the groove surface hardness is HRC58-62. After 50000 mold closing tests, there is no significant wear. The equipment is equipped with a dedicated groove cutting and cladding path planning system, which is compatible with different groove types such as V and U. After application in a precision plastic parts factory, the misalignment error of the product mold was reduced to ± 0.01mm, and the pass rate increased from 92% to 99.8%. The positioning accuracy of the parting surface was restored to the level of the new mold.
