When high silicon aluminum alloy (with a silicon content of 10% -15%) is die cast, silicon particles severely erode the mold cavity, and traditional molds have a lifespan of only 3000-5000 pieces. Daokedao adopts WC TiC composite ceramic cladding technology, with a coating hardness of HRC70 and wear resistance six times that of H13 steel, effectively resisting silicon particle erosion. By optimizing the cladding process, the bonding strength between the coating and the substrate reached 550MPa with no risk of detachment. After being applied in a certain aluminum alloy wheel hub factory, the service life of the die-casting mold has been extended to 20000 pieces, the wear of the mold cavity has been reduced from 0.2mm/thousand pieces to 0.03mm/thousand pieces, the surface scratch rate of the product has been reduced from 18% to 2%, and the annual cost of the mold has been saved by 400000 yuan.
