Cast iron molds have low cost but poor strength, and are prone to cracking and wear. The scrap rate of old molds exceeds 60%. Daokedao adopts Ni Fe alloy cladding technology to form a 3-5mm thick strengthening layer on the surface of the cast iron mold. The hardness is increased from HRC18 to HRC52, and the impact toughness is ≥ 15J/cm ², effectively compensating for the defects of the cast iron material. In response to the tendency of cast iron to crack, a three-stage process of "preheating melting slow cooling" is adopted, with residual stress controlled below 70MPa. A certain hardware factory repaired 10 sets of scrapped cast iron stamping molds, and each set had a service life of 30000 times, with a repair cost of 3000 yuan per set, saving 12000 yuan compared to new molds. The equipment supports various materials such as cast iron and ductile iron, and is suitable for the renovation needs of old molds in small and medium-sized manufacturers.
