Small precision molds (cavity size <5mm), such as electronic connectors and miniature gears, often require complete replacement after localized wear, with a single set costing over 20,000 yuan. The Daokdao system, equipped with a microscopic observation system (200x magnification) and a 0.05mm ultra-fine spot laser head, enables precise positioning and repair of wear areas at the 0.1mm level. Using ultra-fine powder (particle size 5-15μm) compatible with mold steel, the cladding layer thickness is controlled between 0.03-0.08mm, ensuring no impact on cavity dimensional accuracy. After repair, the mold dimensional tolerance reaches ±0.005mm, increasing product qualification from 88% to 99.5%, while repair costs account for only 15%-20% of new mold expenses. Following implementation at an electronics factory, monthly mold procurement costs were reduced by 80,000 yuan on average, making it suitable for precision manufacturing scenarios like MIM injection molding.
