Although stainless steel molds are corrosion-resistant, they tend to stick to materials, especially when processing high-viscosity materials such as PVC and TPR. After demolding, severe material residue remains on the surface, resulting in a rework rate exceeding 15%. Daokedaow adopts a double-layer cladding solution of "alloy base + PTFE surface coating." The underlying Ni-Cr alloy ensures a bonding strength of 580 MPa, while the PTFE surface layer reduces the friction coefficient to 0.07. After repair, the mold cavity achieves a surface roughness of Ra 0.06 μm, enabling smooth demolding without the need for release agents, with material residue rates below 0.5%. To address the poor thermal conductivity of stainless steel, cladding parameters are optimized to control base temperature rise to ≤100°C, preventing mold deformation. After implementation at a daily necessities factory, the rework rate of products was reduced to 2%, and the lifespan of each mold set increased from 80,000 pieces to 220,000 pieces, saving 120,000 yuan annually in rework costs.
