Injection mold cavities are prone to scratches, pitting, and other wear due to prolonged exposure to molten plastic, leading to an increased defect rate in molded products. Daokedaow employs micro-focus laser cladding technology, with spot diameters precisely controlled between 0.1-0.3mm. Using Ni-Cr alloy powder compatible with mold steel, the cladding layer achieves a density of 99.8%. After repair, the cavity surface roughness reaches Ra0.05μm, matching the mirror-like finish of new molds, with dimensional tolerances controlled within ±0.01mm. The equipment features a process memory function, capable of storing 20 sets of commonly used injection mold repair parameters, reducing mold change debugging time to 40 minutes. Post-repair, mold lifespan is extended to 1.5 times the original, with product defect rates dropping from 8% to 1.2%. The overall cost is only 30% that of new molds, suitable for injection molding applications such as home appliances and automotive plastic parts.
