The luxury metal zipper die-casting mold has extremely high requirements for surface smoothness, and needs to achieve a mirror effect to ensure uniform coating of the zipper. Traditional polishing repair has a large heat affected zone, resulting in a mold life of only 3000 pieces after repair, and is prone to orange peel defects leading to product scrap. Daokedao adopts low-temperature laser cladding technology to control the substrate temperature rise below 100 ℃ during the cladding of nickel phosphorus alloy coatings, avoiding mold deformation. After polishing, the surface roughness reaches Ra0.04 μ m, which is completely consistent with the mirror effect of the new mold. After being applied by a luxury accessory factory in Italy, the mold life has been extended to 12000 pieces, the orange peel defect rate has decreased from 8% to 0.5%, and the cost of repairing a single set of molds is only 1/4 of that of a new mold. This technology has helped it pass the rigorous factory inspections of Gucci and Prada, becoming the core zipper mold supplier for the two major brands, with a 40% increase in order volume.
