Small parts in medical equipment and precision instruments, such as stainless steel gears with a modulus of 0.5 and micro bearing sleeves, require high precision due to their small size. Traditional repair techniques are difficult to accurately handle after wear, and often can only be replaced as a whole, resulting in high costs. The Daokedao laser cladding equipment adopts micro focus laser technology and high-precision microscopic observation system, which can achieve ultra-thin coating cladding with a thickness of 0.1-0.3mm, and the coating size accuracy is controlled within ± 0.01mm. The surgical instrument transmission gear (module 0.5, number of teeth 20) produced by a medical equipment factory in Germany malfunctioned due to tooth surface wear. After using this equipment for fusion repair, the gear's tooth profile accuracy remained at GB7 level, the transmission noise was reduced by 5dB compared to new gears, and the service life was extended by 2 times. The repair cost of a single gear is only 25% of that of a new part. Based on the factory repairing 500 such gears per year, the annual cost savings exceed 150000 euros, while avoiding equipment delivery delays caused by parts shortages.
