Due to the harsh working environment, precision parts such as turbine shafts and blades of aircraft engines need to be scrapped with slight wear (such as a size deviation of 0.2mm). Traditional welding repair techniques are prone to cracking and large thermal deformation, which cannot meet the precision requirements of aviation grade. The Daokedao laser cladding equipment uses a highly stable fiber laser source with precise energy density control at 10 ⁴ W/mm ². Paired with a six axis linkage robotic arm, it can accurately fuse Inconel 718 high-temperature alloy material in small areas such as the turbine shaft neck with a diameter of 50mm. During the melting process, the temperature rise of the substrate is controlled within 150 ℃, effectively avoiding deformation and cracking of the parts, and the uniformity of the coating thickness reaches 98%. A certain aviation maintenance plant in Singapore used this equipment to repair the turbine shaft of Pratt&Whitney aircraft engines. After testing by a professional inspection agency, the dimensional accuracy and mechanical properties of the parts met the original factory standards, and the cost of repairing a single piece was only 1/5 of the cost of purchasing a new part. The person in charge of the repair shop stated that after introducing the equipment, the profit margin of the engine repair business increased by 25%, and the customer order volume increased by 30% compared to before.
