Repair of turbine blades in the power industry: a performance leap between Daokedao laser cladding and traditional brazing

Power turbine blades are prone to erosion wear and fatigue cracks in high-temperature, high-pressure steam environments. Traditional brazing repairs exhibit low bonding strength (≤200MPa), which can easily detach during high-speed rotation, resulting in a service life of only 1-2 years and compromising the stable operation of power generation units.

The Daoke Dao laser cladding equipment utilizes high-temperature corrosion-resistant alloy powder, with a cladding layer bonding strength exceeding 500MPa. It maintains stable performance at 600°C and achieves a 4-fold improvement in erosion resistance. Through 3D scanning, blade contours are replicated with precision to repair cracks and wear areas, ensuring deformation ≤0.02mm.

The repaired turbine blades have their service life extended to 5-6 years. After adopting this technology, a power plant reduced generator unit downtime by 80%, cutting annual power generation losses by over 3 million yuan, making it the preferred solution for core component repairs in the power industry.
