In traditional shaft head repair, if welding and other heat input processes are used, it is easy to cause thermal damage and deformation of the substrate, resulting in "turning vibration" during subsequent precision machining, which seriously restricts the quality and efficiency of repair. Laser cladding technology fundamentally solves this problem with its extremely low heat input and fast melting characteristics. Laser energy is highly concentrated, with a short duration of action and minimal heat affected zone on the axis substrate, effectively suppressing thermal stress and deformation. This enables the repaired shaft head to be as stable as a new product during turning, avoiding vibration and achieving extremely high dimensional accuracy and excellent surface smoothness (up to Ra0.8 or above), laying a solid foundation for high-quality and high-efficiency shaft head remanufacturing.
