A medical device enterprise has collaborated with Daokeda to prepare a hydroxyapatite (HA) bionic coating on the surface of Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy implants using laser cladding technology. The equipment adopts a low-energy-density cladding process (10-15J/mm²) to control the coating porosity at 35%-40% (matching the pore characteristics of bone tissue). Meanwhile, it adjusts the powder feeding rate (3-5g/min) through an AI algorithm to avoid coating cracking. In vitro cell experiments show that the cell adhesion rate of the coating is 45% higher than that of sandblasted implants. In animal bone bonding experiments, the bone bonding strength reaches 28MPa 3 months after implantation. It has passed the ISO 10993 biocompatibility certification, providing a solution for the personalized manufacturing of orthopedic implants.
