Dilution rate is the core technical index to evaluate and control the quality of laser cladding, which refers to the proportion of matrix materials mixed into the cladding layer. It is like a double-edged sword: too low dilution rate may lead to insufficient bonding strength; Too high dilution rate means that the base material "dilute" the cladding material too much, so as to greatly reduce the excellent performance such as wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the design. DKD Laser puts the precise control of dilution rate at the top of process development. Through a large number of experiments, we have established a process window diagram for different powder-macombinations, clearly demarcating the range of laser power and scanning speed combinations to obtain the ideal dilution rate (e.g. 5% - 10%). Our intelligent control system ensures that the parameters operate stably within this window. This means that the chemical composition and properties of the cladding obtained by the customer are the closest to the design values of the original powder, ensuring the reliability and predictability of repair or reinforcement effects.
