Plastic Laser Welding for Medical Surgical Retractor Housings

Surgical retractors hold surgical incisions open, requiring high strength, sterility, and corrosion resistance, adapting to surgical handling and autoclave sterilization. Traditional mechanical assembly has weak points, easy to break during surgery, while ultrasonic welding affects internal retraction mechanisms. DaokeDao laser welding realizes firm connection of retractor housings, suitable for medical-grade PC and ABS materials, forming a high-strength weld (tensile strength ≥28MPa) that withstands surgical force without breaking. The non-contact process generates no particles, ensuring sterility, and the weld can withstand 134°C high-pressure steam sterilization, no deformation or yellowing. The equipment supports complex retractor designs, cycle time 9-12 seconds per unit, suitable for small-batch production of surgical instrument manufacturers, improving surgical safety and retractor durability.
