Non-Contact Laser Welding for Automotive Steering Column Cover Housings

Automotive steering column cover housings protect internal steering components and wiring harnesses, requiring seamless appearance, firm fit, and anti-vibration performance, adapting to cockpit temperature changes and steering vibration. Traditional mechanical clamping has gaps, easy to generate noise, while ultrasonic welding leaves visible weld marks. DaokeDao laser welding realizes seamless sealing of cover housings, suitable for ABS and PP materials, with no visible weld marks, smooth surface, matching the interior style. The weld has high strength, resisting steering vibration without loosening, and meets IP65 protection grade, blocking dust and debris. The non-contact process generates no vibration, avoiding damage to internal steering components. The equipment supports curved surface welding, adapting to different steering column designs, cycle time 8-11 seconds per unit, suitable for mass production of steering system suppliers, improving interior refinement and driving comfort.
