Medical surgical staplers are used to close wounds and incisions, requiring high structural strength, sterility, and resistance to repeated sterilization. These components (such as staple cartridges and handle housings) are made of medical-grade plastics like PC and ABS, demanding a welding process that preserves sterility and durability. Traditional welding methods may leave gaps or burrs that harbor bacteria, while adhesive bonding cannot withstand autoclave sterilization. DaokeDao laser welding creates seamless, smooth welds (Ra ≤0.4μm) that are easy to sterilize (autoclave: 134°C, 0.2MPa, 18 minutes). The non-contact process generates no particles, ensuring sterility. It forms a high-strength bond (tensile strength ≥30MPa) that withstands mechanical stress during surgery. Our systems support complex stapler component designs and high-volume production (up to 85 units/hour), complying with ISO 13485 and FDA 510(k) standards.
