Application of Laser Cladding Chromium Carbide Alloy in the Repair of Mining Winch Spindle

The main shaft of the mining winch carries lifting loads and is prone to journal wear and fatigue cracks. Traditional welding repair can easily lead to shaft deformation and high risk of scrap. The Daokedao automated laser cladding equipment uses Cr3C2 NiCr chromium carbide alloy powder to repair worn shaft necks. Through 3D scanning modeling and laser cladding, the bonding strength of the cladding layer exceeds 350MPa, the hardness is HRC60-65, and the dimensional accuracy is restored to the original standard. A coal mine application case shows that repairing a winch spindle costs only 80000 yuan and takes 3 days. After repair, the spindle runs stably for 2 years without any faults, and the equipment's large shaft melting ability is suitable for the needs of mining equipment.
