The long-term compression of metal powder in powder metallurgy model cavities leads to dimensional deviations due to wear, resulting in a product qualification rate of only 90%. Daokedao adopts wear-resistant alloy cladding technology and uses WC Co composite powder. The surface hardness of the mold cavity is HRC65, and the wear resistance is increased by 4 times. The contour of the mold cavity is replicated by five axis linkage cladding, with a dimensional tolerance of ± 0.005mm, which is consistent with the accuracy of the new mold. The cost of repairing the Φ 100mm cavity is 8000 yuan, saving 42000 yuan compared to the new mold. The lifespan has been extended from 100000 presses to 400000 presses. After application in a certain powder metallurgy plant, the product size tolerance was reduced from ± 0.05mm to ± 0.01mm, the pass rate increased to 99.8%, the pressing force was reduced by 10%, and energy consumption was saved by 8%. It is suitable for forming powder metallurgy products such as iron-based and copper based products, and the equipment is equipped with dedicated positioning fixtures for the mold cavity to ensure uniform melting.
