The journal of the ship's propulsion system has been soaked in seawater for a long time, resulting in both wear and corrosion. Traditional repairs require dismantling in the dock, with a cycle of over 15 days and a cost of 500000 yuan. Daokedao adopts on-site laser cladding technology in shipyards, equipped with waterproof and dustproof operation cabins, and uses Inconel 625 alloy powder that is resistant to seawater corrosion. The thickness of the shaft neck cladding layer is 0.2mm, the hardness is HRC45-50, and the salt spray corrosion resistance is up to 12000 hours. Repair the roundness error of the rear axle neck to ≤ 0.005mm, the clearance with the bearing to ≤ 0.01mm, and improve the efficiency of the thruster by 2%. For the Φ 600mm propeller shaft, the repair cycle is only 72 hours, the cost is 25% of the new shaft, and the lifespan reaches 90% of the new shaft. After being applied by a certain shipping company, the fuel consumption of ships decreased by 2.5%, saving fuel costs of 200000 yuan per year and avoiding a loss of 1 million yuan due to cargo delay caused by dock shutdown. This solution is suitable for repairing propeller shafts of various types of ships such as bulk carriers and container ships, greatly reducing the operation and maintenance cycle.
