A single 3MW wind turbine requires 80 bolts, and the replacement cost exceeds 150000 US dollars. After repair, the thread accuracy reaches 5H level and the fatigue life reaches 10 times, which is consistent with the new bolt. After repairing the bolts of 20 wind turbines at a wind farm in the United States, each unit saved $120000 in costs, resulting in a total savings of $2.4 million. The repaired bolts have passed GL certification and have stable performance in extreme temperature difference environments ranging from -40 ℃ to 60 ℃, with no loosening or failure cases during 2 years of operation.
