In the post-processing of laser cladding repair of the inner cylinder, the strategy of "replacing grinding with turning" greatly improves efficiency and reduces costs. Due to the dense structure and uniform composition of the laser cladding layer, as well as effective control of internal stress and porosity defects, its processing performance is very stable. This enables the use of advanced hard alloy or CBN tools on precision CNC lathes to directly turn high hardness (up to HRC40 or higher) cladding layers, with surface roughness of Ra0.8 or higher, fully meeting the requirements for use. This strategy abandons traditional grinding processes, simplifies the process, shortens the construction period, and avoids local burns and secondary stresses that may be caused by grinding.
