Die casting molds are prone to thermal fatigue cracks during the cycle of high-temperature metal liquid at 800 ℃ and room temperature cooling, which is the main reason for mold scrapping. Through the triple synergy of materials, processes, and equipment, Daokedao has cracked this' stubborn disease '. At the material level, Co-Ni-Cr-W quaternary alloy powder has been developed to maintain HRC45 hardness at a high temperature of 600 ℃, with a thermal expansion coefficient that matches 95% of H13 mold steel, reducing thermal stress cracks from the root; At the process level, pulse laser cladding technology is adopted, with a pulse frequency of 200KHz to achieve a "pulse like" distribution of heat input. The substrate temperature rise is controlled within 300 ℃, reducing residual stress by 60% compared to traditional continuous laser cladding; At the equipment level, an infrared thermometer is installed to monitor the mold temperature in real time. When the temperature exceeds the threshold, the laser power is automatically adjusted to ensure a smooth bonding between the cladding layer and the substrate. After testing, it was found that the thermal fatigue life of the die casting molds repaired using this scheme was extended from 80000 pieces to 250000 pieces, and the crack propagation rate was reduced to zero. This "crack resistance code" has applied for three national patents and is widely used in the repair of aluminum alloy and zinc alloy die-casting molds.
